Write from facts you can stand behind.
A practical process for preparing a résumé and cover letter.
Build a useful first draft
- List confirmed employment, study, placements, licences and relevant projects.
- Choose the experience that answers the actual advertisement.
- Write short examples of what you did and the result you observed.
- Use a cover letter to explain the connection; avoid repeating the entire résumé.
Review before sending
Check every generated or suggested sentence against your own experience. Keep qualification-in-progress and qualification-completed distinct. Inspect the final file and follow the employer’s instructions rather than assuming one format works everywhere.
